Gym Rate (“Gym Rate”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) provides a fitness coaching app for coaches and trainees. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we share it, and the choices available to users.

Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, information created through your use of Gym Rate, and limited technical information needed to operate the service.

  • Phone number
  • Password credentials
  • Account role, such as coach or trainee
  • Email verification status

2. Profile and coaching information

We may collect:

  • Avatar and profile photo
  • Bio, goals, training level, and coach title
  • Certifications and marketplace profile details
  • User-entered location or profile details
  • Coach invite codes and coach-trainee relationship data
  • Package, workspace, and subscription status information

3. Fitness, nutrition, and progress information

Because Gym Rate is a coaching platform, users may provide:

  • Height, weight, and body fat percentage
  • Workout logs and training plans
  • Diet plans and meal logs
  • Meal proof photos and progress photos
  • Check-ins, feedback, and coach notes
  • Recovery, sleep, stress, or energy notes

How We Use Information

  • Provide coaching, nutrition, workout, check-in, and progress features
  • Allow coaches and trainees to collaborate inside Gym Rate

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, secure, and improve Gym Rate

We do not sell personal information.

  • With your coach or trainee when needed for the coaching relationship inside Gym Rate
  • With service providers that help us operate Gym Rate, such as cloud hosting, databases, object storage, email delivery, and push notification providers

  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate protections

Service Providers and Infrastructure

Gym Rate currently relies on third-party service providers to operate key parts of the app, including categories such as:

  • Cloud hosting and backend infrastructure

  • Image and file storage
  • Transactional email delivery
  • Push notification delivery

For example, Gym Rate may use providers such as Firebase Cloud Messaging for push notifications, Brevo for transactional email delivery, and cloud object storage services for uploaded images.

Health and Fitness Information

Gym Rate is designed for fitness coaching and progress tracking. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, or emergency services. Do not use Gym Rate for emergencies. If you have health concerns, consult a qualified medical professional before making medical decisions or starting a new fitness or nutrition program.

Photos, Camera, and Photo Library Access

Gym Rate may request access to your camera or photo library so you can upload:

  • Meal proof photos
  • Progress photos
  • Profile images
  • Workout media
  • Coach branding assets

You can manage camera and photo permissions in your device settings.

Uploaded images may be processed for compatibility and optimization before storage and display.

Push Notifications

Gym Rate may request permission to send push notifications related to:

  • Account activity
  • Coaching and plan updates
  • Check-ins
  • Progress and workflow updates

You can disable notifications in your device settings.

Payments

The Gym Rate mobile app does not collect payment card, bank, or wallet details and does not process in-app purchases in the current release.

Coach workspace activation or package management may be handled outside the mobile app.

Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to:

  • Provide Gym Rate
  • Maintain account and coaching records
  • Resolve disputes
  • Enforce agreements
  • Prevent abuse or fraud
  • Comply with legal obligations

We may keep certain information after account deletion where retention is required or permitted by law, including security logs, fraud-prevention records, dispute records, and accounting or compliance records.

Account Deletion and User Choices

You may request deletion of your Gym Rate account and associated personal data by:

When we receive a verified deletion request, we will delete or de-identify associated personal information unless retention is required or permitted by law.

You may also:

  • Update certain profile information in the app
  • Turn off push notifications in your device settings
  • Contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of your information

Temporary logout, app removal, or account suspension is not the same as account deletion.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect personal information. These measures include HTTPS transmission for app API traffic and access controls for protected services. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children’s Privacy

Gym Rate is not intended for children under 13 and is not submitted as a kids app. If you believe a child has provided personal information through Gym Rate, contact us at gymrate95@gmail.com so we can review the issue and take appropriate action.

International Processing

Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for those transfers.

Changes to This Policy
